Ready for action! Began phased reopening this week

— One of the most popular entities at Mardi Gras Casino & Resort in Kanawha County is back, table games. The Cross Lanes facility reopened its tables on Thursday as part of the casino’s reopening process called “Play It Safe.” The casino officially reopened its doors on June 5 after a nearly 3-month hiatus due to COVID-19. Mardi Gras will reopen at 50 percent capacity per the state’s directive and will feature a reduced number of slots, live racing without spectators but with onsite wagering, and simulcast wagering. Neither table games nor sports betting will be available, per release.

Mardi Gras, Golden Gulch, and Golden Gates casinos will begin their phased-in reopening on Wednesday, June 17. All properties will open under restrictions, including a change in hours of operation, total capacity, limited dining options and gaming options as well as health and safety precautions for all players, guests and employees.

Mardi Gras Casino will be open 8 am – 2 am daily. Golden Gulch Casino will be open Sunday-Thursday, noon – 9 pm, and Friday-Saturday noon – midnight. Golden Gates Casino will be open 8 am – 2 am daily. There will be one main entrance for Mardi Gras and Golden Gates at the Main Street entrance, and entrance to both properties will be available through the parking garage at the Players Club.

“We are thrilled to reopen our doors for all guests and our team members. We are taking all precautions to ensure our casinos are a safe environment for everyone which includes more sanitizing stations and temperature checks at all entrances. We are excited for our guests to get back in the action.” says General Manager Brandon Lenssen.

During the initial phase of reopening, the casino floor will be limited to 175 people per floor and every other slot machine will be available for play. For dining, Bourbon Street Café will be seating guests with limited capacity, and Full House Café and Creekside Deli will be open and available for to-go food options.

Mardi Gras, Golden Gulch and Golden Gates commitment to both guest and employee safety remain top priority and will be following all guidelines set in place by the State of Colorado. All guests and employees will be subject to a health screening at the main entrances using handheld thermometers to ensure temperature is not greater than 99.5 prior to entering the building. All employees and guests will be required to wear a face covering while inside any of the properties.
